Inside and Out

insideoutfull, ALLassiter, SOD JULY
When my Scraps of Darkness kit arrived, I had to leave immediately to go to Kansas. Sadly, it arrived literally as I was walking out the door. When I arrived home 5 days later…I dug in. Wow…so much goodness! This is one of the projects I created using the “Believe” kit for July. Just click the photo to see the kit and fabulous add ons.
I used one of the gorgeous BoBunny Enchanted Garden papers, and layered on paints using a brayer. I layered on some Viva Las VegaStamps! and stenciling using inks in colors that contrasted and popped with the papers bright happy tones.

I also used stenciling for the title, as well as the Kaisercraft Stickers. Layers of quilt like papers, even in strips, are so eye catching and pleasing. Adding fibers also gave some nice texture. 🙂

Finally, I created a cluster of flowers around the Prima resin frame. Some 7 Dots Studio Illumination chipboard pieces gave nice movement, and a natural look when painted with green paints from 13 Arts.

Thanks for having a look today, and I’ll be back in just a bit, with another layout using this lovely kit!!

I love the layers of stamps and stencils! They go so well together. How’d you do the blue brick? And is that ribbon/trim to the right of the paper strips on the top right?

Thank you! I had so much fun with this piece. 🙂 the blue brick is a background stamp from Viva Las VegaStamps, using a neon blue ink from Tsukenko/Imagine Crafts. 🙂 That is a ribbon trim on the right. It is Webster’s Pages….such a beautiful trim. 🙂
