Believe {Guest Designer for Berry71Bleu}

believe flowers and chip
I have had the awesome privilege of being asked to guest design for Berry71Bleu this month. The challenge for January is your choice of “one little word” for the year. The one I chose was “believe.” I had the word “adventure” haunting me for a while, but then I realized adventure follows believing it can happen. I have a huge, lofty goal….and I really want to achieve it.

I started with a piece of Pion Design paper, and I decided I couldn’t live with just using one side… I cut out the center, flipped it around, and added it tilted to the right.In the corners, I put scraps of 7 Dots Studio messy head papers, and they worked really well together.

Of course I added a lot of paint and mist, and layered up papers and thread.

There are layers of trims, washi tapes from Gauche Alchemy, journaling cards, stamping, UmWowStudio Chipboard (how about that sweet leaf confetti piece, and those gears); and ephemera (the saint card I picked up off of my pillow, at a retreat I attended at a Catholic conference center…and really love).  Something extra special, are the pearlized buttons, and the plastic doily….which came from my grandma’s craft stash. 🙂 The buttons are beautiful in person.

I’m so happy to share this page today, and hope you’ll pop by Berry71Bleu, and have a look at their challenge. There are prizes from Gelli Arts, Flourish With a Bling, and Speedball to be had. Link up today, and you may just win a fun and fabbo prize! 🙂

    I love all the little details, especially the hand drawn corners. Everything works well together.
