Searching For SilencePosted: December 4, 2013
In my world recently, it seems like there is a lot of “noise” that distracts me. I enjoy people watching, and the murmur of voices chatting and exchanging ideas, and laughter. Angry patrons, or crabby people, not so much…they really wear me out. So, I did a layout based on my love for beautiful silence and seeking it out to rest my soul.
I used the WONDERFUL Nekkid mixed media kit and washi tapes from Gauche Alchemy, and pumped up all of the neutral with paints and mists.
I did quite a bit of stenciling on this layout, using the doily in the kit, as well as a crafter’s workshop stencil.
I used Sizzix dies to cut the swirls out of dictionary pages that were in the kit, and they were a perfect addition to this more romantic style page.
I have really enjoyed my creative time lately (even more than usual), and the happy news that comes from it is such a bonus! I was SO blessed to be named the challenge winner AND a December guest designer at Berry71Bleu!!! I can’t wait to share my creation!
Thanks for having a look, and sharing in my joy! Oh, and HAPPY HUMP DAY!! 😀
