Hello and welcome to the Paper Issues blog hop, featuring the “Cook” line of products by Ruby Rock It! Man, this  Ruby Rock It stuff is yumtasticly pretty, and I had the best time creating this layout.

I wanted to stick with the “cooking” theme, so I found the only picture of me cooking/baking something…….my skin! Haha! This is a photo of me laying in the sun in Waikiki. I was napping there for about two hours, but I made sure that I had on 70 SPF sunscreen. I just couldn’t stay out of that beautiful Hawaii sunshine….it’s addictive!

For this layout, I started with the awesome burlap paper, gessoed and painted little over the edges, and layered on some leaves using a ScrapFX stencil. There are so many wonderful patterns and elements in the collection, that it was a joy to layer them all up. Have a look at the details, like the little cakes all in a row, the butterflies, or the lovely lace trim. I also used a scrapFX chipboard swirl, and blinged it up with some of the gorgeous red Bella! Fundamentals rhinestones. They accented everything so nicely.
